Deltek Releases Updates to It's Open Plan and Acumen Scheduling Tools

On Friday, June 28th, 2019 Deltek released updates to their schedule management tools Acumen and Open Plan. We've outlined the key updates, and we've included the product release training videos below from Deltek.

Deltek Acumen 8.5 Release

Release 8.5 to Deltek's Acumen tool includes a few key items. These being: 

• Update of Acumen 360 to include reporting functionality and integration options

• The latest update to the DCMA EVAS metrics having renamed to DECM, including version 3.3
• New reports for history and metric validation 
• Reading Cobra codes for WPs and CAs 
• A new capability for finance teams which allows team members to load Cost without the need for a Schedule

• Developments to the Mentor feature including 2 new mentor aids in S3 Risk which seeks to get new team members up to speed in the tool faster
• Various other changes to make the Acumen program easier and faster to use

Deltek Open Plan 8.3 Release

The Open Plan 8.3 release includes regulatory compliance updates, adding Deltek Mentor to Open Plan, and customer commitments. These include:

• Time analysis warning when a majority of the remaining work has a 0 or negative float

• The ability to copy and paste resource spreads from Excel or emails to make updating easier and more fluent
• Improved reporting functionality on Designated Alternate Resources in histogram when the primary resource is not available. 

• Baseline Updating process improvements - a preview of user made changes to the baseline is now shown so users can be more confident in their schedule
• Enhanced logging of baseline update and creation options 

• No change to the database in this release - 8.2 and 8.3 can work in the same environment
• API updated in support of Deltek Touchstone
