Encore Analytics Releases Update 4.1 to Its Empower Software

On Tuesday December 10th, Encore Analytics released an update to its flagship product, Empower. The new version 4.1 includes several enhancements and refinements, as well as the following new features:

• Data Compliance Updates and Enhancements
  • Support for DECM 3.3 and 3.4 tests
  • Support for user-specified hard/soft constraint codes (per-contract) 
  • Many other minor fixes and refinements
• User Interface Enhancements
  • Add 'Close on OK' option to Open Dataset dialogue box
  • Add 'Kanban' functionality for Action Item / VAR narrative workflow
  • Extend Apply / Edit dialogues to access all charts, reports, views, filters
  • Add 'Set Chart Range' dialogue
  • Optionally show late and/or prior finish indicators in Gantt chart
  • Earned Schedule metrics now available for summary row
  • Performance enhancements for very large data sets
• EDI Import/Export Enhancements
  • Add 'Export From Range' and 'Prune To Range' dialogues
  • Add 'Validate import file' option for Empower-optimized files
    • Identifies issues such as multiple Level 1 elements, bad parents, missing UB, changed structures, etc. prior to import
  • Extend Excel Connect to include IPMR data, MR/UB, EQP
  • Map user-specified EOCs to IPMR-specified cost codes
  • Watchdir enhancements (import sorting, IPMR2 support)
  • Retain Calendar settings on IPMR and X12 imports
  • Many minor fixes and enhancements
• Chart and Report Enhancements
  • Add new groups to Chart Editor (DOE tests, Earned Schedule, Days)
  • Add VAC column to EOC report
  • Fiscal year reporting capabilities
  • Add 12-period CPI and SPI columns
  • Add PMB BAC and MR to Contract Performance chart, use FutureEtc (vs EacMR)
• Administration Enhancements
  • Add support for users in multiple groups
  • Add support for "deactivated" users
  • Default values for Admin dialogues now customizable
• Security Enhancements
  • Update chart converter on Windows so Java is no longer required
  • Extend parameter validation for ATR charts/reports
