PMI's Study Reveals Valuable Insight Regarding Recent Trends in Project Management
Project Management Institute (PMI) has been publishing their Pulse of the Profession® study, a global survey of professionals who provide project, program, or portfolio management services, since 2006.
Pulse of the Profession® outlines some of the major trends for project management. It features original market research that documents feedback and insights from project, program, and portfolio managers, along with an analysis of third-party data from organizations all around the world.
The 2018 edition of Pulse of the Profession® highlights feedback and insights from a total of 5,402 participants including project management practitioners, senior executives, and Project Management Office (PMO) directors from a range of industries including; government, information technology (IT), telecommunication, energy, manufacturing, healthcare, and construction. These survey participants were from all over the globe including the following countries:
- North America
- Asia
- Europe
- Middle East
- Africa
- Latin America
The final analysis in this report takes insight from interviews with 8 corporate leaders and 8 PMO directors. This analysis provides insight into the practices of many organizations and their executives and how they feel they are tackling these recent PM trends.
