With two new enhancements released in the most recent update to Oracle's PPM software, I am sure many of you are asking if you should update your system. Below we will discuss these new features and the benefits they can provide you if you do decide to update.
At the end of April, 2018 Oracle announced its latest release; 13 to it's already great PPM Software. The two new enhancements apply to project foundation. They are:
The Projects - Period Close Exceptions feature allows project analysts in charge of accounting on a specific project to assess project period close exceptions using this feature in Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence. They can also make customizations to build their own analysis and view pending transactions by using the various capabilities, like project, task, expenditure type, project organization, and type of message.
The new File Based Data Importing enhancement allows users to load data into their Oracle Cloud applications from their already loved external legacy systems or other third party applications. In the current application, users must upload data from an Excel template and the success and error report is then produced via PDF. With the new enhancement however, users will be able to download an Excel file with the report data which can then be used to fix errors, if applicable. Then the user can upload this data into the application, which will ultimately saves time and help eliminate room for error as the user no longer has to manually correct this information.
