A draft of this document was issued last fall and comments were solicited. Pinnacle consultants provided detailed comments and recommendations.
The government’s original plan was to formally issue the new DID in early May 2012. However, the comments were extensive and substantive enough that the release was pushed out. Currently, the IPMR DID is in final coordination; there are a few details that remain to be worked out. No new release date has been established, but Pinnacle has been told the hope is that it will be released by the end of June.
If you are not familiar with the IPMR DID, it combines and updates two DIDs:
The intent of doing this is to increase cost and schedule integration. The new DID is largely consistent with the older DIDs it is combining. The significant differences are:
